Response to my discussion: women in Buddhism
To respond to my question, I would probably want to be a woman that practiced Buddhism, as I would like to actively participate in daily activities. For example, women in Buddhism were able to break out of traditional domestic roles and become bodhisattvas, nuns, and here they could be important leaders who were valued. Although women faced subordination to men, they had more rights than men in the long run,
